Piasecki Aircraft

Piasecki bought the 219,000-square-foot former Lockheed Martin Sikorsky “Heliplex” in Coatesville in 2023 and is turning it into an advanced R&D and production center for vertical-lift aircraft. The site will build and test the PA-890, billed as the world's first zero-emission hydrogen fuel-cell helicopter, in a program projected to bring several hundred jobs by 2028. (Coatesville is Piasecki's production and R&D facility; its corporate headquarters is in Essington.)
