Brandywine Photonics

Founded in Exton in 2010, Brandywine Photonics designs and builds electro-optical and hyperspectral imaging payloads for defense and space customers including NASA, NOAA, the U.S. Space Force, and the Air Force. Its systems support weather sensing, overhead persistent infrared, space domain awareness, tactical ISR, and land and ocean mapping. The company's technical portfolio includes Offner and Dyson diffraction-grating hyperspectral imagers, and it has won multiple government contracts, including an SBIR award to develop a theater weather-imaging and cloud-characterization sensor. It remains a small, specialized optics firm serving national-security and civil-space missions.
